A throwback to 2000s commercials – Grillifilms Hartwall Jaffa

It’s Anna Kaisa “AK” Jämsä writing! I have been working as a trainee at Grillifilms for almost three months now, and it is time to share something that inspired me.

I was looking through Grillifilms’s Vimeo account when I found a big surprise: a commercial from my childhood! I was probably eight years old when I saw it for the first time, but I still remember it so clearly: the uber cool-looking guys and their reactions, the change in colour when we see the imagined scenario with bubbles, the distinct song, the contrast between peace and chaos and, with a cherry on top, the ending when the chaos is frozen in the very creative packshot. I don’t remember any other commercial quite like that. What a coincidence I got to do a traineeship with the company that produced it!

And it has been really great at Grillifilms! It’s my first time working in the production side, so I have gotten outside of my comfort zone and learned so much – not only about professional production, but I have also improved my critical thinking and social skills. I feel a lot more confident in this industry; I really recommend doing a traineeship at Grillifilms, as it gives you means to cope in the most demanding shoot and production.
